How We Work / Sending Your Song
How We Work
To start, send us your song so we can start working on it. If you want us to mix your song and would like to send a reference mix, please do.
When we receive your song, we'll give you an idea of how long we think it will take. We usually take about a week to give you a first draft. We don't do rush jobs. We like to spend time on each song, including multiple sessions. When we're done we'll send you the first half of your song Mixed and/or Mastered (or roughly 2 minutes, whichever is less). If it makes sense, we'll also send the first half of your song and another part too like the bridge for example, just so you can get a full idea. Then after you listen to our work on your song, we'll make any changes you want to make sure you're satisfied.
When you're satisfied, send us payment and we'll send you your full song done with as many versions as you need (eg: instrumental, a cappella, etc.).
Sending a stereo Mix of your Song
Send the Stereo Mix as a high quality file of your Song to our email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Our email can handle up to 50 MB (megabytes) per email. That is usually enough space to send one song. If your song is bigger than 50 MB, let us know and we'll send you a link where you can send files of any size.
Sending individual tracks for mixing / Stems for mastering
Send us an email to email@example.com, and we'll send you a link so you can send all the files for your song in one email.
copyright your song
It's always a good idea to copyright your song before you send it to others. An easy way to copyright your song is to 'Register Mail' it to yourself through the the Post Office. When you receive it, don't open the package. The date is stamped on the package by the Government, giving you a legal copyright.
